April is National Garden Month!
The old saying “April Flowers Brings May Flowers” is so true. April is the perfect time to get outside and get your hands dirty! Just as the warm weather is starting to set in, we are able to tend to our gardens and get them ready for a season of plush goodness!
Gardening is more than what appeals to the eye. It is about connecting with the soil and earth to create life in plants. Continuously tending to each individual plants needs. Of course the fruits and vegetables you plant taste great too!
Because we are part of nature, we can easily connect to the earth. When you feel the soil and seeds in the ground and breath in the fresh air, there is a sense of life connection. Because of this, many people release endorphins. Gardening may seem tedious to some, but it really is a great way to de-stress and enjoy nature.
Did we mention being outside on these spring days is great for your Vitamin D levels as well. You can’t ask for a more natural way to become enriched!
Have you started your garden spring cleaning? What are you planting in your garden this year?
