The Lazy Gal's Hacks for Healthy Living

We all know the importance of exercise and eating whole, fresh foods. But that’s easier said than done for some of us. Whether you’re so busy you don’t have time to fuss with intricate grocery lists and 90-minute yoga classes, or really are just so lazy you don’t want to try – or both, like me – here are some steps you can take to improve your health with minimal effort.

Toss it ALL!

We’ll start with one slightly time-consuming task, but you only have to do it once: Grab a big garbage bag, then grab everything in your refrigerator and pantry that’s processed and toss it in. And next time you go to the store, don’t buy that junk again.

Multitask with moisturizer

Multitask with a moisturizer that already has sunscreen in it. Look for an SPF of at least 30. I like Aveeno Positively Radiant Sheer Daily Moisturizer, but there are lots of good ones out there. The key is to use it every day.

Fruits, Vegetables and Living Juice

You already know you’re supposed to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Make it easy on yourself – even turn it into a treat - with organic cold-pressed Living Juice. They’re delicious, packed with nutrients and make a tasty, easy snack or meal substitute.

Order Kids Meals

Sometimes you just can’t/won’t avoid fast food. When the siren call of McDonald’s is too much to resist, order the kids’ meal.

Grow your herbs!

Grow your own herbs. Get a pack at the garden center - they’re hardy and take no time to plant. Just park them in a big planter near the kitchen so you don’t have to venture far to use them because…lazy.

Dumbbell reps during commercials

Keep dumbbells near every television in your house (Amazon has really cute, colorful ones) and do reps during commercial breaks. Yes, you’ll have to put the wine glass down, but only for the commercials.
