Marlene is grateful for the intelligence and compassion of the many teachers who have influenced her in her 14 year long journey into the world of Yoga. Trained by practitioners of Iyengar, Sivananda, and Anusara, she combines her understanding of each of these in her own individualized approach to teaching.
Mindful of the breadth and depth of Yoga, Marlene continues to study in workshops throughout the country and in a local philosophy group. In recent years she has focused on Gentle and Chair Yoga, bringing the principles and benefits of Yoga to everyone, even those who think they can’t do Yoga. The latest addition to her resume is the completion of a 40-hour training in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, a newly developed approach to help victims of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
